Stian Aleksander Fremo

Stian Aleksander Fremo has worked with inside sales at Nomo's office in Trondheim, Norway since November 2022.

Once every five years!

What made you apply for a position at Nomo?
When this job came up, I saw a great opportunity, with my previous experience and knowledge of ball bearings, to get a taste of what it's like to work in inside sales.

Where have you worked previously?
I have been a mechanic and mainly worked with ball bearings and a specialisation in that area. I have carried out vibration analyses with assembly and disassembly of bearings. For the last ten years I have been responsible for all rotating equipment in an industry. In my role, I have also been a customer for many years at ABRA Kulelagersenteret, which is now part of Nomo.

What is your motivation?
I have a keen interest in technology and I am driven by helping customers, solving problems and giving valuable advice.

What is the best thing about your job?
I would say the diversity and that there is a lot of variety in my job. The work is also stimulating, I learn something new every day. Sometimes it may involve finding a product that I have never heard of before.

How has the experience of joining the Nomo team been?
I received a very positive welcome. It is easy to ask someone for advice and get help from my colleagues.

What do you do in your spare time?
I play football in division 5. Another interest is frisbee golf (disc golf), I also do 3D printing.

What do you 3D print?
My mum has her own business where we 3D print some parts, including spools for yarn products. Instead of purchasing products from Canada, we make them ourselves through 3D printing.

What is your favourite food?
Pasta, tacos on Fridays.

What is your biggest success in life?
Getting a job at Nomo was a major success.
