Mikael Dahlkvist is a sales representative for OEM and has been based at Nomo's office in Borlänge, Sweden, for 25 years.

Isidor Lundqvist, our previous guest in this series, asks: If you could choose a new career path today, what would you choose?
Tough question. I enjoy dealing with customers and would probably choose something which allows me to continue to do so.

Can you describe your journey through the company?
I have worked at the Nomo Group since 1998, but have been in the industry since 1992. I first worked in a warehouse and was in inside sales before becoming and field sales representative in 2001. Since our reorganisation, I work with OEM customers.

In which geographical area do you work?
My district is Dalarna, Gästrikland, Hälsingland, Härjedalen, Värmland and parts of Närke.

How many kilometres do you put on your car each year?
I drive about 25,000 kilometres per year for business.

What made you apply for a job at Nomo?
I got into the ball bearing business early on and eventually ended up at Nomo.

What do you appreciate most in your work?
Great flexibility, I can plan my days the way I want, and also have nice colleagues.

What are your personal strengths?
It is important to always maintain a high level of customer service and go the extra mile.

What is the company’s best product?
The unique width of products that we offer in our range. A particular favourite is the Timken QM bearing housing which I have sold a lot of, a true problem solver.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I was quite good at tennis in my youth and played against some who went on to become elite players.

What do you do in your spare time?
I play golf, fly fishing is also one of my hobbies.

What is your favourite food?
I am an omnivore and eat everything from a grilled piece of meat to vegetarian food, which is also delicious.

What is your best environmental tip for sustainable development?
I try to be environmentally aware. I drive a hybrid car and like to buy Swedish food and local produce when I shop.

Our next guest is Henrik Walter, what question would you like to ask him?
Where do you see Nomo in five years, compared to today?
