Jari Pelttari

Jari Pelttari is Product Manager for Rolling Bearings at Nomo in Finland since June 2019.

Janvier Mugianeza, our previous guest in this series, asked you the question: What is your favorite season and what do you like most in Finland?
I have two favorite seasons, early summer when nature is pure green and winter when we have a little frost and white snow. I Mostly like our clean nature and a safe environment.

How have you experienced coming to Nomo?
My short journey in Nomo has been very interesting. After the several years that I have worked in the bearing business, there are still new things and ideas. I came to Nomo through a business acquisition 2019, but have worked in the bearing business since 1987.

What career would you choose if you had to choose today?
I don´t find any reason why wouldn´t I make the same choice again.

What do you appreciate most about your work?
Freedom, in agreed rules of course and wonderful colleagues.

What is the company's best product?
As product manager of rolling bearings, I have to say bearings. Especially all our options and opportunities with our multibrand concept. When talking about products, we have to remember that one of our most important products is our knowledge in different industry sectors, together with our competence for problem solving and cooperation.

What is your biggest success in life?
Biggest success is that I have found is a life where it is easy to live with family. Another totally different success is business where we as a company have been able to create good cooperation with our customers and suppliers.

Do you have a hidden talent?
Probably, I just haven´t found it yet.

What is your best environmental tip for sustainable development?
Use up, don´t throw away and buy a new product.

What do you do in your freetime?
I travel with my wife, sometimes I go to fishing just to be alone and sometimes the best freetime is just to be without any plans.

What food do you prefer to eat?
My favorite food is cabbage roll. It's not fine dining, but I like it.
