Amanda Pettersson has been working as HR Coordinator at Nomos' headquarters in Stockholm since August 2022.

Martin Nyström, our previous guest in this series, asks: If life was like a chocolate bar, what kind would you want to be?
Haha, what a question. I would say Marabou Swiss nut!

What are your responsibilities?
The role of HR coordinator includes administration, staffing issues, employment contracts and input to payroll. I manage policies, instructions and am responsible for Nomo's systematic work environment management, etc.

What made you apply for a job at Nomo?
A job advert sparked my interest. The role that Nomo was looking for was described in an exciting way, I also liked the family atmosphere and feel of the company.

What did you do previously?
I worked in a shop, in a pre-school and have taken stand-alone courses in human resource management. I have always wanted to work in human resources and now I have the perfect role.

What is the best thing about your job? There is a lot going on all the time and very varied tasks in a wide range of fields. There are two of us at the head office working on HR issues for the entire Nordic region, plus two colleagues in Shanghai.

How has the experience of joining the Nomo team been?
It's been great, I've felt welcome from day one and it's a very inspiring workplace.

What is your motivation?
To contribute to a workplace with a good environment where everyone feels good, enjoys themselves and has fun at work.

Do you have any hidden talents?
No, not that I can think of.

What do you do in your spare time?
With two young children, the focus is on them. I also like animals and being out in nature, but also some spills and thrills.

What is your favourite food?
Preferably sirloin steak with potato gratin.

The best song in the world ever?
Eminem's song, When I'm gone. It has been a favourite since I was younger and it is still as good as ever.

What makes you happy?
Little things make me happy, like someone cooking for me or the when the sun is shining. It makes me happy in my soul.
